week 3 of NY

Week three of the New Year and much more postive this week on both exercise and food....

Think I have my exercise routine down now.... some cardio, some sets and lots of walking!!

Food has been more controlled this week but still needs tweaking, so have prepped 3 days of food today: fruit salad for breakfast, veggie soup for lunch, and a cauliflower rice and chicken receipe that I love.... plus a few high fibre snacks for those picky moments

My friends continue to support me and this is really keeping me on track!!

So, weight loss this week.......

Somehow I managed to miss last weeks blog!

Well, anyway, week one of the NY was brilliant, so totally focused on doing exercise that I did not really concentrate too much on my food, after a fabulous weight loss BOOM the second week hit me.....

It just all unraveled a bit the second week with my arch nemesis FOOOOOOOOD!

So, whilst I didnt undo ALL the good work previously I am not as far forward as I hoped to be....

So more work and concentration on the food side this week and just keep kicking my own butt!!

Week 1 - its a NEW year :)

So, Xmas is finished and the New Year has finally begun.... a time to think things through and make some self promises....

My resolutions are always the same; get fit and lose weight!!
So, what makes this year any different??

I think, no I KNOW, I am finally ready....

I have lots of tools at my disposal, I have very supportive friends AND no pressure, if I fail one day or even one week, get up, brush off and start again....

So, I tried to maintain over the holiday period but didnt quite manage it, I put on 3lbs but thats super fine, as before I would have put on way, WAY more than that!!

so fresh start .....

Week 12 and Bingo!!

So week 12 has arrived, week before xmas!! less than 2 weeks til the NY!!!

More outings, more food but also a change in my exercise this week, Night Shifts have not allowed me to go walking much, or do the funky chicken!  So have tried a new exercise DVD!! and it seems to have worked!!

weigh in No.11 .... wont be long now!!

So its week 11! wowzer where has the time gone.....

I have really relaxed this week, knowing my goal was just to maintain, this has allowed me some hunger vs comfort eating focus time...... my mouth is often bored when my stomach is not hungry!! and weirdly, I have had periods of extreme tummy rumbles but as I was busy did not feel the need to eat....  I need to reflect on these things.

Eating for comfort or due to an emotion, mainly anger, frustration or the old chest nut of it "tasting nice" so have some more!! is something I really need to work on in the New Year.

with New Year approaching I have been thinking about goals, promises and plans.
This is my plan for next weeks blog, to have a list of targets etc.

So, anyway - how did i do this week!......

I actually LOST 2lbs!!!

10th weigh in... xmas is coming!

What a mad week!!

and so begins the seemingly endless round of food, drinks and parties in the lead up to Xmas.

Am very pleased with myself this week, as counter balanced all the naughty food (FOUR!) nights with good days which gave me an brilliant result this morning. 

I am changing my focus slightly for the next couple of weeks and just aiming to maintain, that in itself is a challange for me.  
a. to not feel let down by staying the same 
b. to balance the good/bad food and eating 
c. not to over eat 
d. to not feel guilty and then eat everything!!

I have a feeling that 2017 is going to be a fantastic year and I want to enter into it in a FABULOUS mood..... 


I am very happy to announce...... I stayed the SAME!!!

Weigh in No.9......

Its been an odd week; ups, downs, side ons and a general higglydepiggle of emotions. 

After last weeks lack of loss I thought I was ready for it..... but cravings come with a vengence and I am having to relearn the difference between mouth hungry, boredom and actual hunger.

So am really pleased with my weight loss of 1.5lbs this week but know I can do better!!

onwards and downwards...... woooooo to the 10th week!!
